Board members

Members' interests orientate BankVic's strategic direction which is why our Board of Directors have been appointed by our members.

The role of the Board is to effectively guide the organisation into the future with strong financial performance, well-being and security, and to operate in an ethical and responsible manner so that we deliver a real alternative to profit-driven competitors.

The key responsibilities of the Board include:

  • improving organisational and operational performance
  • setting strategic directions and targets
  • monitoring the principal business and prudential risks
  • monitoring overall financial performance
  • ensuring business operations are undertaken in an honest and ethical manner
  • succession planning.

Wayne Taylor

Wayne was elected to the Board in 2009, and was Deputy Chairman from 2012 - 2014. He has been Chairman of the Board since 2016.  He is a current serving Victoria Police officer with 41 years of service.

Wayne is a member of the Remuneration & Transformation Committee and Nominations Committee.

Marianne Luttick

Marianne was elected to the Board in 2011 and was appointed Deputy Chair in November 2017.  She started her career with Victoria Police in 2002 after 15 years as Managing Director of her own accounting business. Marianne was promoted to Detective Sergeant at Crime Command in 2016.

Marianne is a member of the Remuneration & Transformation Committee and Risk Committee."

David Boell

David Boell 


David was elected to the Board in 2009, and was Deputy Chairman from 2014 - 2016. He has been a serving member of Victoria Police for 29 years, and holds a Bachelor of Business (majoring in Marketing and Management).

David is Chair of the Risk Committee and a member Corporate Governance Committee.

Steven John Coulson

Steven was elected to the Board in 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Accounting and Commerce Law) and is a Certified Practising Accountant (Fellow) and Certified Fraud Examiner. He is a National Director with the  Australian Taxation Office and has previously held senior management positions with the Department of Justice and Regulation, EY and Victoria Police. Steven also serves as a current Director for Little Athletics Victoria and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (Victoria).   

Steven is Chair of the Remuneration & Transformation Commitee and a member of the Audit Committee.   

Lucinda Nolan

M.A., BA (Hons), Grad Dip PSM

Lucinda  was elected to the Board in 2016. She was Deputy Commissioner with the Victorian Police and has spent 33 years working within the emergency services sector, including her most recent role as CEO of the Country Fire Authority. Lucinda is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation and is also a director on the board of the Hawthorn Football Club, and of the Penington Institute. She has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University.

Lucinda is a Chair of the Corporate Governance Committee and a member of the Risk Commitee.

Debra Robertson


Debra Robertson


Debra was elected to the Board in 2017.  She is a Victoria Police officer with over 34 years of experience across both operational policing and strategic projects.  Debra holds an Advanced Diploma of Public Safety & Police Investigation, an Advanced Certificate in Management, and postgraduate qualifications in Gender and Policing.  She served two years as the Vice President of The Police Association Victoria (TPAV), was a previous Director of the Police Federation Australia (PFA), and is a recipient of a Churchill Fellowship 2017.

Debra is a member of the Audit Committee, and the Corporate Governance Committee.

adrian white

Adrian White

Adrian was elected to the Board in 2011, and was Deputy Chairman in 2017. He has been a member of Victoria Police for 38 years. Adrian's police service has included deployments to the National Crime Authority and Australian Crime Commission and he holds a Graduate Certificate in Applied Management and Diploma of Workplace Training and Assessment Systems.

Adrian is Chair of the Audit Commitee and a member of the Risk Commitee.
