For the seventh consecutive year, BankVic is supporting the Wall to Wall motorcycle Ride for Remembrance and helping pay tribute to Victoria Police members that have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The annual charity event that unites police around the nation raises much needed funding for Police Legacy and the range of services they provide to serving and retired police members and their families who have suffered the loss of a loved one.
On Friday 14 September in the lead up to National Police Remembrance Day, around 350 current and former Victoria Police officers and their supporters will gather at the Victoria Police Memorial Wall on St Kilda Rd for a remembrance ceremony attended by the Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police, Graham Ashton.
After paying their respects to fallen colleagues, riders will don their leathers and travel under a full police escort to Merimbula where they’ll spend the evening raising funds for Victoria Police Legacy.
The following day, riders will complete their journey to Canberra where they’ll come together with riders from other state capitals and ride as one single group to the National Police Memorial.
BankVic will be there all the way – with employees riding and providing vehicle support, as well as working to raise awareness and funds for this important cause.
