Claiming money using PayAnyone – Mobile Email is easy.

You need an Australian bank account and the following information:

  • Mobile number or email address
  • Collection Code
  • Exact amount
  • BSB and Account number

How to collect a payment

How it works for the Recipient

Receives Payment Advice

The recipient receives an SMS/email from us stating collection details of funds.

Obtain 6-character Collection Code from the Payer

The Payer will contact you regarding the Collection Code. This 6-character code needs to be entered into the collection site.

Claim your payment

To claim your payment, visit  and enter the following information.

  • The exact amount which has been paid to you.
  • Whether the payment details were sent to you via Mobile or Email
  • Collection Code.
  • Your BSB and account details.

It may take up to three days before you see the money in your account.

How to make a payment

How it works for the Payer

Access the service

Log in to mobile banking, go to the 'Payments' screen and select the 'Mobile & Email' option.

Identify the recipient

Select 'Pay New' and setup how you'd like to pay your recipient, either by email or mobile. The new payee can then be saved for future use by ensuring the 'Save Payee For Future Use' box is ticked at the bottom of the page. Alternatively, you can select a previously established recipient.

Enter Payment Details

Select the account from which you’d like the payment to be made. Enter the amount you want to transfer and a personal message. Click 'Next'.

Confirm the payment

A confirmation screen is displayed. You can cancel, modify or confirm the payment.

Advise recipient

The Collection Code screen is displayed.

  • Advise the 6-character Collection Code to your recipient so they can collect their funds. The recipient will receive either an SMS or email (as identified by the Payer) from us informing them a payment is waiting to be collected. If the recipient does not collect the money within 14 days, it will be returned to the Payer's account.

Important : When making transfers please check the account details you have entered – the account name cannot be verified by us prior to sending your funds.  Incorrect information may result in funds being credited to the account of an unintended recipient if the BSB number and/or identifier do not belong to the named recipient, and loss of funds should they not reach the intended recipient. It may not be possible to recover your funds from an unintended recipient.

If you do make an error, please let us know and we will action a Mistaken Internet Payment request where we will contact the unintended recipient’s banker and request the payment be returned.  Your online banking terms and conditions includes our obligations for these reports and the ePayments Code explains further.
